Software Developers
Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools or networks. Develop Ruby on Rails based Social Media Marketing SaaS components that range from Publishing Automation to Content Creation Tools to Analytics Aggregation. Apply advanced knowledge of software architecture and computer algorithms to perform software development tasks associated with developing, debugging or designing software applications or operating systems according to provided design specifications. Suggest and design improvements to the architecture of existing system and make improvements on the performance of the system with big data process experience and NoSQL knowledge. Particular tools, programs, and methodologies include Ruby, Ruby on Rails, MySQL and other Relational Database Systems, Computer Algorithms, Big Data process experience, NoSQL knowledge, and Object Oriented software design. Apply knowledge of new frameworks, design patterns, or software tools to deliverables. Collaborate with other engineers regarding day-to-day software development.
Employer will accept Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related technical field and 4 year(s) of work experience in job offered or 4 year(s) of work experience in a software engineering-related occupation. Experience must include:
1. Four years of hands-on experience developing software utilizing Ruby on Rails, Python, Java, PHP, or scripting language;
2. Write standards-compliant HTML and CSS;
3. Developing on MySQL and optimizing SQL queries to improve system performance;
4. Experience developing Java application in Mac OS X or other NIX;
5. Experience in processing big data with cloud computing and NoSQL;
6. Object Oriented Software design including Ruby and implementation on Ruby on Rails; and
7. Design highly reliable and high-performance programs with computer algorithms.
Experience may be gained concurrently.
