Job Purpose:To enhance zoo guest satisfaction by maintaining positive relations with guests and to gather important guest relations and marketing data. Responsible for the day-to-day activity of the admissions and rides department. Assist staff/volunteers and work closely with the Admissions/Rides Management Team. ________________________________________________________________________

Responsibilities:
Greets guests in a pleasant manner when they enter and exit the zoo
Provide crowd control at the front gate and at exhibits as needed
Approach guests and provide helpful information on show times, feeding schedules, membership benefits, and assist guests with map/directions
Responsible for answering guest questions, suggestions/recommendations, & complaints
Assists in the coordination of various projects, writing reports, balancing the daily admissions reports, assist the cashiers with computer concerns, etc. Assist with the training of new staff personnel
Brief and update the main gate staff on exhibit opening and closings, animals off exhibit, etc. Maintain inventory of the admissions department supplies and advise the Admissions Manager of supplies that are needed
Assist in the handling of compliments and concerns from guests in a positive and friendly manner. Execute appropriate paperwork to record and facilitate action on guest's input
Operate main gate computer system. May also be assigned to work at our advance ticket entry
Assist with selling tickets and other promotional items to guests
Assist in updating and maintaining information manuals to include but not limited to: department training manual of new team members, corporate company member list, reciprocal partners list, membership brochures, City Pass flyers and ticket booth signage
Meet sales goals in membership sales, all rides wristbands, and other promotional items
Assist in the training of new admission/rides staff members. Insure employees weekly sign-in worksheets are reviewed, adjusted if needed, and approved as directed by manager. May also assist in coordinating of work schedules and lunch breaks
Performs all other duties as assigned by the Admissions/Rides Management Team, to include assisting with the supervision of admission/rides staff, housekeeping chores, etc.
Will operate rides as needed or when assigned to rides department. Serve as relief person to cover breaks for team members. Help with set-up of Rides area and Front Gate (this will include but not limited to: changing gas canisters on the train, setting up/taking down of the bounce house, wiping down the rides seats/carousel animals, sweeping, picking up trash and the movement of stanchions)
When performing Swing Manager duties, you will be required to move stanchions, coordinate work schedule to include operational responsibilities for the front gate and rides department as needed, operate rides for team members as needed for breaks or general operation. Cover breaks of cashiers at the front gate, rides and express entry. Set up and take down express entry tent and move signs as needed to/from the front gate and express entry
Handles crowd control functions during zoo emergencies as directed by the Crisis Management Coordinator
Complete all other duties as assigned by admissions management team
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Ability to communicate with employees and guests proficiently and professionally
Strong interpersonal skills
Ability to work with minimum supervision
Strong customer service skills
Experience with various software programs, Word, Excel, & PowerPoint
Ability to manage multiple tasks under specific time requirements
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, oral and written
Ability to read and disseminate information; reference materials, periodicals, etc.
Ability to stand/sit for long periods of time
Ability to operate park rides and attractions
Ability to help set up rides/equipment (as needed)
Ability to lift items of at least 35 lbs
Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Possess good verbal skills and be able to communicate with the general public daily in a professional manner.
Flexible availability, including weekend, evening, and holiday hours.
Education level required for positions: High School Diploma. Advanced Degree not necessary but a plus.
Certificates/Licenses/Registrations:Must possess a valid Georgia Drivers License that is acceptable per Zoo Atlanta's auto liability insurance carrier guidelines.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:Be able to bend, walk, climb, sit and stand for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift 35 lbs. May be required to move/lift boxes.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:(Employee must be comfortable working in cold and hot weather conditions and work outside as needed).

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
