POSITION PURPOSE
:
The Global Workforce/Culture Communications Manager will create communications methods/methodology to drive performance in a way that is aligned with the company's strategic goals, while reinforcing the company's values, employer brand and engagement.
The GW/CM will lead internal culture communications in support of company leadership, employee engagement, change management and collaborate with key functional stakeholders from the Global Communications Network, Global Marketing, Global Human Resources and other global functions to achieve their goals.
This role reports to the Vice President of Corporate Communications.
Responsibilities:
1. Support Company's Strategic Alignment and Accountability:
o Work with VP, HR, CEO to refine and support the company's Organization and Culture Strategy.
o Develop/execute effective employee communications campaigns/programs that foster the company's culture and enhance employee pride aligned to Organization and Culture Strategy.
o Organize and develop plan/agenda for global functional team meetings.
o Support VP in creation and development of effective communications to drive alignment and accountability to the execution of the company's strategy and strategic drivers.
o Preserve culture of social responsibility (doing well by doing good) through On-Message/On-Tone communications.
o Elevate, promote and protect company's brand and solutions to internal audiences.
o Engage employees and encourage them to achieve their human potential through deeper understanding of motivations.
o Consult with internal stakeholders on culture communications.
2. Support Company's Strategic Execution:
o Establish and nurture relationships with global functional leaders and regionally based colleagues as defined by VP.
o Facilitate the development and execution of all colleagues communication strategy.
o Leverages external messaging and brand positioning internally to ensure alignment.
o Leverage collaboration with global network to innovate, import and export creative ideas to achieve outcomes.
o Manage outside resources, agencies and freelancers.
o Develop, implement and manage integrated global culture communication programs in order to engage, align and motivate employees toward high performance and delivery of business goals.
o Support execution of intranet strategy and management working with web team as well as subject matter experts within the business.
o Manage global internal communications newsletter .
o Support Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Diversity initiatives.
o Potentially serve as a spokesperson for various communications programs including CSR and Diversity.
3. Capabilities/Experience
o Ability to provide strategic insight to influence disciplined execution. Candidates should have experience building relationships and working with diverse stakeholders effectively.
o Outstanding interpersonal skills, including the ability to work effectively in a team environment, negotiate approvals diplomatically, and maintain composure and production quality under deadline pressure.
o Experience developing and generating support for strategic, comprehensive communications plans that apply creative tactics and use a variety of communication channels including multi-media, online, in-person and video, print.
o Energetic, self-starter and resourceful problem solver with drive to perform - committed and engaged, gets things moving and keeps things on track. High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple ongoing activities.
o Experience blending traditional communications tactics with multi-media.
o International experience and awareness of the cultural context of communication in order to act as a global liaison with internal client groups.
o Strong organizational and project management skills, with a focus on planning, setting priorities, and managing process through completion.
Qualifications:
Education
:
o BA/BS in a communications field.
Experience
o Minimum of 8 or more years of experience in global employee/internal communications.
o Experience working in a matrix and corporate organization preferred.
