Prominent Georgia law firm seeks a litigation associate with 2 to 4 years complex commercial litigation experience to join its Atlanta office. Candidate Must have commercial litigation experience, and experience taking and defending depositions ; Second chair litigation experience is a plus ; Stellar academic credentials, analytical skills, verbal and written communication skills and lawfirm experience required ; Georgia Bar.
Compensation is commensurate with experience.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
-Helping clients identify and resolve issues that might otherwise increase the possibility of litigation.
-Representing major insurers in the United States (as well as representing insureds, self-insureds, reinsurers and insurance trade associations) in a wide variety of matters.
-Making presentations before bar and professional groups on subjects such as litigation practices and expectations, product-liability and insurance-coverage principles, and bad faithand punitive damages laws, among others.
-Dealing with cases arising out of group and individual health, life and disability-income insurance policies, in federal and state courts throughout the country and at all levels of the appellate process.
-Representing clients in a broad array of matters including, but not limited to: coverage disputes; claims of bad faith and related claims for punitive damages; surety disputes; third-party administrator disputes including breach of contract, bad faith, trade secret and interference claims.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
