Job Duties: Develop tests, methods, and procedures to ensure continuous improvement to software quality assurance and serviceability standards. Create test plans and write test cases. Analyze test results to ensure existing functionality and recommend corrective action. Ensure that integration tests are fully automated and documented and all problems are resolved. Debug software products through the use of systematic tests to develop, apply, and maintain quality standards for company products. After testing provide feedback to developers on potential changes. Participate in the execution of procedures for ensuring the quality and serviceability of new features and releases of software. Create or integrate tooling to support test automation and testbed provisioning. Write code to implement test cases and maintain and develop test automation frameworks. Telecommuting up to two days per week is authorized for this position.
Job Requirements: Bachelor's degree or higher (or foreign educational equivalent) in Computer Science or a closely related field such as Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Information Systems plus least one year of post-bachelors degree experience in all of the following: designing and developing software from a coding perspective for building test automation; designing, implementing, and maintaining a test environment in C, C++, and Java; developing and executing test cases and testing methodology for manual and/or automated tests utilizing Junit and Robot Framework; debugging C and C+
code using GDB; performing Python, Perl or Shell Scripting in Linux based systems; setting up environments and networking in Linux based systems; analyzing network performance both theoretically and with tools such as tcpdump and wireshark; developing and testing network and storage protocols; developing tools for network simulation and testing; and, using CVS or Git as version control system to manage code changes.
