Preeminent law firm seeks an e-discovery litigation specialist based in Atlanta or D.C. to work directly with case teams, firm clients, and outside vendors to provide one stop project management for e-discovery projects. This will include identification, preservation, collection, processing, review, analysis, and production of electronically stored information (ESI), often involving travel to perform on-site services at client locations and other case-related sites. The preferred candidate will also assist in the analysis of structured data to assist case teams during investigations and litigation. Certifications preferred (not required) include CEDS, CCSA, EnCE, CeDP, and CLSS. Firm is prepared to pay top of the market compensation for the right candidate. Specific responsibilities include,
Consult with Case Team and Client to select Outside Vendors based on available e-discovery tools and case/client needs, including pricing.
Consult on initial E-Discovery case strategy and set-up, as well as post-matter database management (e.g., hibernation solutions and long-term preservation/access solutions).
Work with Case Team and Client to identify electronic document sources and collection needs, i.e., identify infrastructure and software systems, identify custodial and non-custodial data, estimate data volume, identify ESI data formats, etc.
Work with Case Team and Client to develop/draft legal holds and document collection memoranda, track and monitor responses of custodians and other personnel involved, and verify that Preservation and Collection processes and practices meet acceptable level of defensibility.
Assist Practice Group E-Discovery Expert to conduct forensic collection of ESI, using EnCase, FTK Imager, and/or other forensics software solutions.
Coordinate with Client IT personnel and/or Outside Vendors conducting forensic collection of ESI and track and inventory all transfer and receipt of ESI.
Assist Practice Group E-Discovery Expert and work with Outside Vendors to identify and implement review tools appropriate to a matter, e.g., e-mail threading, technology assisted review, predictive coding, data analytics, etc.
Coordinate and make document productions, both personally and using Outside Vendors, including overseeing and/or personally TIFFing, bates stamping, endorsing, creating/providing metadata overlays, and preparing load files and deliverables to be provided as part of the data and/or document production.
Work with Case Team, Client, and Outside Vendors to translate, query, manipulate, and relate structured data (in range of formats and languages) in relational databases and spreadsheets, using SQL and other software.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
