CACI Emergint is seeking a senior UI/UX/Graphics Designer for Mobile/Web development. The person in this position will support the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Informatics Research and Development Activity (IRDA) to advance the field of public health informatics through the applied research and innovation, IRDA studies, prototypes and tests new and innovative technology-based tools and resources. The Informatics R&D; Lab's mission is to enable programs to experiment with tools, technology and approaches to extend the reach and impact of their public health mission.

Position
Summary:
The senior UI/UX/Graphics Designer will have the opportunity to work with a variety of CDC Public Health-focused customers to develop innovative mobile and web-based proof-of-concepts /prototypes using the latest or emerging technologies which provide the basis for innovative technical solutions for public health initiatives. The senior UI/UX/Graphics Designer is responsible for creating and executing the graphic user interface design public health applications and working with the CDC client to ensure high level of quality in a fast paced environment. This includes delivering mockups, high fidelity designs, specs and production-ready assets. The UI/UX/Graphics Designer is passionate about web and mobile technologies and application within public health informatics research and development.
Duties and
Responsibilities:
Responsible for creating process flows, wireframes, and visual design mockups as needed to effectively conceptualize and communicate detailed interaction behaviors.
Implement UX/UI design using Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator and HTML/CSS
Work closely with team members to help define CDC Public Health user interface innovations using emerging technologies providing technical solutions for public health initiatives.
Assess and optimize the performance of new and existing features by actively participating in user research and assessing performance metrics.
Present design work to the user experience team, CDC Directors and executives for review and feedback.
Contribute to user interface design and development best practices and standards.
Provide leadership in the area of e-commerce trends, web application design, and user interface innovations.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent and five to seven years of related industry experience providing interaction design solutions for web and/or software applications.
A portfolio showing strong creative skills, visually appealing design work, the ability to generate solid design ideas and results, and a thorough understanding of good design and development process.
Experience with UX/UI/Graphics Design for mobile applications.
Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal and analytical skills including the ability to communicate complex, interactive design concepts clearly and persuasively across different audiences and varying levels of the organization.
Strong working knowledge of HTML and CSS
Self-starter who is a customer-obsessed, detail-oriented, and enthusiastic team player.
Ability to work collaboratively with highly technical team members and handle multiple projects in an agile, fast-paced environment.
Fluency in best practices for UX architecture and design for web and mobile, as well as strong knowledge of usability principles and techniques.
Proficiency in a variety of design tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Fireworks, and Dreamweaver.
A strong online portfolio demonstrating past work experience and relevant, user-centered design solutions is required.
Rapid lo-fi prototyping skills using software such as Balsamiq
Ability to understand business requirements and their impact on UX solutions
Experience working in Mac OS X environment.
Strong working knowledge of HTML and CSS3.
Must be able to obtain NACI clearance.
Typically requires bachelor's degree or equivalent and seven to nine years of related experience.

Qualifications:
Strong commitment to quality, architecture and documentation.
Experience with one or more of the following HTML5, CSS3, Javascript, AJAX, jQuery and PHP
Ability to communicate to all levels of users (internal and external), strong problem-solving skills, adaptable, proactive.

A history as a self-starter and the ability to deal with ambiguity.
