The Business Intelligence Developer will work in a team and provide technical, process and development assistance on Business Intelligence projects. The role requires experience in working with application transactional data along with the business intelligence domain and is able to design, develop and resolve technical issues as well as deliver complex, large-scale solutions.
The business intelligence developer will acquire a thorough knowledge of the existing GM application transactional data space and drive positive changes. The business intelligence developer will also understand and integrate with the Enterprise Data Warehouse/ Data Hub.
Key
Responsibilities:
Design and build Business Intelligence solutions using a suite of tools to address particular Corporate Functions business needs
Work under general supervision for new report creation and enhancements based on the change requests
Work with Project Manager in developing and executing project plans within assigned schedule and timeline
Perform quality assurance checks on deliverables
Additional Activities include:
Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the business processes and KPIs which are critical to successfully achieving the HR function's strategic plan and operating model
Contribute to development of business requirements and functional specifications along with benefits realization plan
Collaborate with IT Development teams to ensure shared responsibility of delivery of a project within previously agreed upon project budget, deadlines and scope
Qualifications
Required
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Information Technology
At least 5 years of Business Intelligence software development experience
Analytical, problem solving and debugging skills
Experience with Business Intelligence tools, including Cognos & Tableau
Experience with Mobile BI delivery platforms
Strong team player
Knowledge of data structures, data base design, data warehouses, business intelligence/analytic tools, SQL, ETL tools, and data integration methods
Preferred
Qualifications:
Experience with Site Catalyst, TM1, Cognos 10 Framework Manager, Report, Query, Event and Metric Studios
Experience with Oracle, Teradata
Exposure to predictive analytics and forecasting techniques
Strong business acumen - in one or more of Human Resources, Legal, Public Policy and Communications
Experience with Agile, Scrum, iterative or waterfall development and project methodologies
