About the role:
The Windows developer's focus will be primarily on Sharepoint solutions. In this field, the person is responsible for providing application solutions using sound, repeatable industry best practices and in accordance with GM's software development project methodology. Development activities will include updating existing windows applications and/or developing new programs as it is defined by a detailed design. The Windows Developer will be responsible for writing, executing and evaluating test cases under general guidance of the test lead. Loadtesting and Performance testing will be done in collaboration with the Tuning expert. The Windows developer is required to work independent under little guidance, as only few projects are done in this kind of technology. In addition, the Windows developer will be involved in other Application Modernization initiatives where his skills are in demand.
Qualifications
Minimum
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline preferred or equivalent experience required.
2-3 years of experience in a Application Development environment.
Practical knowledge of Sharepoint.
Preferred
Qualifications:
Demonstrated ability to follow system development life cycle best practices, including: requirements gathering, development standards, quality control, release management, testing, documentation.
Experience in testing tools and testing documentation repositories.
Practical experience in Lotus Notes conversions is an advantage.
Knowledge of Security Architectures (LDAP, AD) is an advantage.
Knowledge of PC configuration is appreciated.
Preferred experience with Agile, Scrum, iterative, or waterfall development and project methodologies
