The Corporate Functions Solutions Delivery team supports the creation and enhancement of some of the industry's most innovative and complex systems. This team develops and delivers software solutions to GM customers, dealers, and employees across the globe. Members of this team include industry-leading developers, architects, and designers who use various innovative development methodologies and technologies to successfully deliver solutions, drive business results, and increase customer satisfaction.
About the role:
The Corporate Functions PeopleSoft Solutions Architect will drive standardization of architecture deliverables in projects and provide a foundation for programs that have multi-project initiatives. They will establish inter-program integration, compliance to GMAS and adherence to security standards, bridge the gap between project / program work and the enterprise activities, aligning direction and deliverables. They will provide industry leading technical direction and guidance to various Corporate Functions project teams to ensure appropriate and cost effective application of GM approved technologies. This specific position is at our Georgia Innovation Center located in Roswell, Georgia.
Major Duties /
Responsibilities:
a) Participates in defining solution architectures which includes evaluation, selection and integration of necessary technical components to create solution designs that support the defined functional and non-functional requirements. Very strong emphasis on PeopleSoft architecture.
b) Define, develop and present a strategic vision for GM's usage of PeopleSoft.
c) Comprehends documentation of the current and future state application and/or infrastructure architectures for the assigned domain areas.
d) Leverage and gain knowledge of the business space of Corporate Functions and build a strong understanding how the existing software tools (including PeopleSoft) in this space meet the needs of the business.
e) Leads the architecture for projects, including logical architectural designs, software requirements and integration designs
f) Marshal new software components through the enterprise review process as needed, driving them to become GM standards.
g) Architect solutions to meet required availability and data classification requirements
h) Leads a team of architects to accomplish all architectural deliverables for major projects.
i) Engages and accomplishes all architectural deliverables for significantly sized projects.
Qualifications
Minimum
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in IT related discipline, Masters preferred
4 years experience developing/deploying IT systems in a professional/corporate environment
2 additional years experience leading architecture for project teams and project implementation
3 years experience with PeopleSoft
2 years experience in architecting for security and identity preferred.
Professional programming (in addition to college)
Able to identify the distinction and dependencies between business, information, systems and technology architecture layers.
Ability to contribute to the design and development of IT solutions based on defined requirements in a large-scale multi-national organization.
Ability to utilize various technologies for suitable inclusion in IT solution designs.
Ability to comprehend abstract models of IT solution architectures, including various views of solution architectures.
Ability to work constructively as an individual or in groups with supervision.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
