Industrial Engineer Technical Manager to lead Operations Excellence drivers at the sawmill i.e. Quality, Value/Yield, Production and track mill progress at facilities and trend results. The Industrial Engineer Technical Manager will also work with leadership to identify project needs through OpEx risk/gap analysis and lead the continuous improvement effort.

Requirements of the Industrial Engineer / Technical Manager:
An Associate's Degree or higher in Management, Engineering or related technical field.
Minimum of two (2) years of technical and operational management experience.
Minimum of two (2) years of operations management experience in a heavy industrial or manufacturing environment.
Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel, and the ability to learn various PC-based production and operations applications.
Must be able and willing to work a flexible work schedule when necessary
Must be able and willing to work in a manufacturing plant environment
Preferred
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree or higher in a technical field
Lumber or Wood Products manufacturing experience
Quality, Value, Yield (QVY) experience or Quality Management experience
Root Cause Analysis (RCA) experience
Optimization Process experience
PLC knowledge (AB ControlLogix or Siemens)
OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness)
Data Historian and trending software
Knowledge - Skills - Abilities:
Written and verbal communication skills
Team building skills - Working with operators/teams to improve processes and reduce repeat failures
Facilitation skills - Lead RCA's and cross-functional team improvement efforts and develop action registers
Analytical skills - Statistics and Pareto analysis
Warrenton, GAEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
