Position
Summary:
As a Business Operations Consultant you will work across functional areas such as underwriting and operations and systems to ensure that processes are sound, measurable and meet the needs of the Marine & Aerospace business lines.
Location is flexible as to where the role will be based.
Organizational Structure:
This position reports to a VP in Operations and will work closely with regional executives, project managers and business analysts.
Performance Objectives:
Drive a selection of projects in support of Marine & Aerospace
Help define, develop and continuously monitor key performance indicators
Lead and take an active role in a variety of projects driving documentation of processes and requirements
Promote and utilize standardized toolsets and methodologies
Provide data analysis expertise as required for initiatives across the global commercial operations areas
Identify areas for improvement in current processes
Support other activities (governance, standards, policies and procedures, etc.) for assigned programs and projects.
Secures acceptance and approval of deliverables from the Business Sponsor and Stakeholders. The Ideal Candidate Should Have:
6 plus years of business analysis or related experience, preferably in the insurance industry.
Strong understanding of business process design/process engineering/continuous improvement methodologies
Strong interpersonal/influencing skills.
Strong written and oral communication skills
Comfortable working with large quantities of data, with very strong skills in Excel and Access
Problem solving and analytic mindset with experience in utilizing tools to assist this process.
Undergraduate degree
Strong PowerPoint skills preferred
Experience working with virtual resources teams a plus
