What are we looking for?
We seek a smart, dynamic, creative communications strategist who understands story-telling across all media, online and offline. A seasoned professional and great writer who knows his/her way around a media pitch, but is also savvy about social media and digital marketing strategies. We seek someone who is intellectually curious and passionate about marketing and communications. You'll report to the Senior Vice President and be a key member of our growing Atlanta team. Agency experience, local candidate preferred.
Responsibilities Include:
Strategize, develop and execute integrated marketing communications programs for trade associations, professional societies and corporations -PR, crisis communications and reputation management, copywriting, media relations, digital advertising, social media strategy and content management, and trade show and event marketing
High level of direct client contact
Manage budgets
Identify new opportunities
Collaborate with team members
Leadership and mentoring of direct reports and other team members
Vendor relations
New business development
Required Skills:
BS/BA in a discipline related to Communications, Public Relations, Advertising, Marketing or Journalism, with a minimum of eight years of applicable experience, preferably in an agency setting.
Highly productive when working independently and work well in a team environment
Experience managing staff and serving as the program/project lead with direct client contact.
Brilliant publicist who understands that clients still want to see their name in print and know how to make this happen
Sound judgment, exceptional organizational skills, consistent attention to detail and prioritization of deadlines; ability to multi-task and juggle deadlines
Ability to travel, both domestically and internationally, which may involve multiple consecutive nights away from home and may include occasional weekend travel.
Experienced in developing social media marketing programs including content strategies, digital advertising and analytics
Excellent communication skills (written, verbal & presentation) and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of people
