The Director of Interactive Marketing provides leadership and develops strategies for this manufacturer's digital marketing efforts. Key responsibilities include translating marketing and sales goals into actionable and measurable digital marketing initiatives, including website strategy, SEO, social, databases, CRM tools, and online media. The ideal candidate will be a recognized leader throughout the organization on developing digital strategies, execution and driving KPIs. Collaboration amongst MarCom team and key internal stakeholders is critical to success. The ideal candidate has a strong technology background and demonstrated success with a branded, technical product. For this role, services are not a good match. Relocation is available.
Responsibilities:
Websites -Drive site migration to one platform; improve site functionality based on VOC and metrics, Drive Best Practices, SEO standards; drive online traffic to build brand awareness and preference; use analytics to identify improvement opportunities; ownership of corporate website and subject matter expertise in brand and channel web experiences. Drive content maintenance through a regular cadence as measured by KPIs.
Database & CRM - With the assistance of the internal IST team, consolidate all data inputs into a centralized datasbase. Develop a strategy for nurturing and remarketing to the database driven by a clear execution plan of touchpoints. Develop standard work for utilizing the database for research purposes.
Analytics and insight - oversight of SEO efforts and web analytics to inform and drive website improvements, track effectiveness of marketing campaigns, support overall strategy. Marketing should be synchronized across all devices and platforms. Our brand presence must be consistent and ubiquitous, as well as responsive in real time to customer activity.
Innovation and Technology - create strategies and implement tactics to encourage adoption of new developments in digital marketing, technology, and social media trends. Develop Social Media strategy and drive execution.
Direct staff to leverage internal subject matter experts (i.e. creative services, interactive, event planning, etc) to execute and drive marketing plans. Collaborate and brainstorm with product and vertical teams to think outside the box to test new marketing tools not typically utilized that focuses on target segments as well as application and vertical opportunities.
Drive standard work and facilitate best practice sharing among team. Prepare monthly marketing activity report, including team KPI's, and present to executive management as necessary. Drive continuous improvement in marketing and communications processes. Monitors and measures results of communications tactics.
Collaborate and partner with Marcom organization leaders to optimize interactive marketing efforts that support the overall vision and strategy of the corporation.
Coach, mentor, and develop Interactive Marketing team talent.
Requirements:
Primarily strategic thinker who can develop and push staff forward to execute interactive marketing communications programs to meet corporate objectives.
Excellent skills in managing others, writing, presenting, relating to colleagues, and overseeing projects.
Proficiency in working with budgets, as well as maintaining positive relationships with other departments
Ability to provide professional counsel, lead discussions and present ideas; viewed as subject-matter expert in interactive marketing approaches and methodologies.
Ability to provide strategic direction and follow-through, and to delegate key responsibilities.
Bachelor's Degree (Business, Marketing, or other related field); Master's in Business or Marketing or related IT-field

years' experience leading interactive marketing efforts within a team or organization--either a Corporate Digital Marketing or Agency Digital Marketing Department. Must have experience with a technology product that is branded.
