We are seeking a Network Engineer whose primary responsibilities will be focused on routing, switching, WAN acceleration, load balancing, and wireless infrastructure.
This position is responsible for operational management of existing networking infrastructure; supporting and troubleshooting of networking issues (including 24x7 response for critical network hardware or service failures); and strategic planning for improvement of the network infrastructure.
Daily responsibilities include:
Configuring network systems to support connectivity, performance and reliability.
Resolve a variety of network system issues including connectivity, routing, bandwidth, latency, performance degradation across all sites.
Provide 24x7 emergency response and assistance for all necessary networking problems and issues.
Provide strategic planning for the improvement of the networking infrastructure as they relate to business continuity and disaster recovery
Monitor, analyze and evaluate the performance and capacity levels of all networking systems.
Perform minor adjustments when necessary, and plan and schedule major adjustments and modifications when warranted.
Report regularly on performance and capacity levels of networking environment, identifying and escalating noteworthy fluctuations and trends.
Document and maintain accurate configuration information and infrastructure schematics of all networking components and dependencies.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
3
years experience planning, designing, implementing, supporting, and troubleshooting networking environments.
3
years of experience installing and configuring Cisco Routers and Switches.
3
years of experience with high level troubleshooting network connectivity and routing issues.
3
years of experience with a variety of networking protocols and technologies including TCP/IP, BGP, MPLS, EIGRP, DMVPN, FCoE, QoS, IOS, and NX-OS.
Bachelor's degree is required for this position.
Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CCDA, and/or CCDP are preferred.
No relocation is offered for this position, therefore, local candidates are preferred.
Third party candidates will not be considered for this position.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
