Responsibilities:
Interns perform a wide range of duties for many different departments.
Some of these duties include:
1.
Writing articles and taking photos for hospital physician, employee and consumer publications 2.
Writing and distributing press releases 3.
Designing fliers, postcards, invitations, etc.
for hospital events and programs 4.
Planning and implementing special events (community seminars, races/walks, etc.
) 5.
Assisting media on campus & coordinating media logistics 6.
Working with printers and other vendors 7.
Assisting with a variety of projects in Productivity Management, Finance or Administration 8.
Assist with projects related to Physician Practices or Hospital DepartmentsRevenue Integrity Hospital Charge Integrity Understand the Hospital Chargemaster data file and assist in ongoing maintenance processes-daily, quarterly, yearly.
Recognize clinical charging procedures and related systems for the production of a bill/claim.
Conduct research for Medicare compliance regulations and coding requirements and assist with the incorporation into the Chargemaster, Review billing National Correct Coding Initiative edits (NCCI) and Medicare LCD/NCDs and analyze impact to the Chargemaster and billing.
Assist in preparing and conducting compliance and coding regulations education for Department Leaders.
Learn to conduct audits of select medical record documentation to determine accuracy of coding assignments and billing compliance.
Support the Business Office in auditing claim denials related to the Chargemaster, HCPCS and/or UB codes.
Assist with development of departmental coding/compliance policy guidance as they relate to improving processes and maintaining revenue.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
REQUIRED:
1.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
2.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
3.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
4.
Ability to problem solve and have strong attention to detail.
PREFERRED:
Marketing 1.
Junior or Senior Public Relations, Journalism or Communications majors or recent graduates preferred.
2.
Candidates must have good academic performance.
3.
Excellent written and oral skills.
4.
Experience using PageMaker or Quark applications is a must.
Productivity Management 1.
Junior or Senior Engineering major.
2.
Candidates must have good academic performance.
3.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
4.
Strong mathematical skills and ability to work with formulas in Excel.
5.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Medical and or Coding background (apprentice and or externships accepted or individuals seeking RHIA, RHIT, CPC-A, CPC, CCS, CCS-P,Work Hours:

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
