Regional Product Manager

We are currently looking to fill the Regional Product Manager position in the Southeast region.
The Regional Product Manager will be responsible for developing and maintaining sales relationships and communication with and promoting Walters Gardens and Proven Winners, The #1 Brand in Plants.
Candidates can be based in either West Michigan or in their perspective territory.
Essential Duties Include:
Oversee the development of customer relationships and sales growth in the defined territory Service and support customers through various communication methods Travel to customers to promote Walters Gardens product and present innovative ideas, concepts, and programs.
Time spent traveling, whether to customers or to Walters Gardens, would be 50 - 75% Attend industry trade shows and events Submit order entry into internal inventory system Work with internal Walters Gardens' departments on product availability and salability Establish sales goals for the defined territory Support established sales channels Conduct market research to identify customer needs and trends in the region Develop and execute regional product strategies for increasing sales in your territory annually Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful product launches and promotions Build relationships with key customers and partners in the region Utilize CRM software to keep department leaders up to date on status Stay current with industry trends and developments in the region Qualified applicants must have demonstrated ability of:
Excellent communication (both written and oral), motivational and organizational skills Be passionate about people and plants Show positive initiative and self-motivation Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment Multi-task and manage multiple projects independently Achieve in depth product knowledge Solid understanding of, and applicable experience in, the perennial industry preferred Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales quotas Experience working in a regional context is a plus Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or a related field 3
