What would my role be? The Non-Instructional Aide provides support to teachers and building administration in ensuring a positive, safe, and orderly learning environment.
Maintains strict confidentiality with respect to information concerning students, personnel, and other administrative matters affecting the district.
What would my responsibilities be? Build positive relationships with students and staff.
Provide assistance to areas within the school building including but not limited to the office, hallways, and restrooms.
Monitor and support cool down room for students who need time to regulate and refocus before returning to the classroom.
Work directly with administration on problem solving for students with challenges upholding behavioral and instructional expectations.
Support cultural leadership team in larger goals of school.
Support teachers in real time when they are in need of cultural or behavioral support.
Implementation of cafeteria management plan as designed by administration.
Participate in joint planning and training.
Reflect on practices and seek appropriate help and support when appropriate.
Serve as mentor for students as needed.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required.

Ability to encounter constant work interruptions; work cooperatively with others; work independently; work indoors.
Mental Requirements:
Ability to read, write, understand, interpret and apply information at a moderately complex level essential for successful job performance; math skills at a high school proficiency level; judgment and the ability to process information quickly; learn quickly and follow verbal procedures and standards; give verbal instruction; rank tasks in order of importance; copy, compare, compile and coordinate information and records.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
