The Inventory Assistant will be responsible for assisting with inventory management, including receiving, storing, and issuing materials, equipment, and other items.
The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and a keen eye for accuracy.
Responsibilities:
Receive and verify incoming shipments of materials, supplies, and equipment.
Maintain accurate records of inventory levels and transactions using inventory management software.
Assist in organizing and maintaining inventory storage areas.
Perform regular inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.
Prepare and package items for shipment or delivery.
Assist with the preparation of reports on inventory levels, usage, and trends.
Collaborate with other departments to fulfill inventory requests and ensure adequate stock levels.
Follow safety procedures and guidelines when handling inventory items.
Help identify areas for process improvement and implement solutions as directed.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience in inventory management or related field preferred.
Familiarity with inventory management software systems (e.
g.
, SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) is a plus.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to lift and move heavy items as needed.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work schedules.
Must be dependable and reliable.
