The Healthcare Renovation Business Unit Manager is responsible for all Healthcare Renovation Business Unit activities and growth within their unit.
Leading by example, the Healthcare Renovation Business Unit Manager will ensure all work is compliant, executed within the established guidelines, budgets, and provide exceptional client service to build Business Unit revenue.
Success will be measured by the Business Unit's Manager ability to (1) procure new projects and clients, (2) lead and motivate teams, and (3) bring projects to completion on time and on budget.
Duties and ResponsibilitiesBusiness Unit ManagementInitiates new business opportunities with current client portfolio and new business development.
Maintains Business Unit customer relationship management tool in Quickbase.
Updates project status and completion dates in database on a weekly basis.
Work with Accounts Receivable to monitor Healthcare Renovation Business Unit weekly and monthly billings and collections.
Reviews monthly financial and operational performance of the Healthcare Renovation Business Unit and completes monthly business unit reports for review with management.
Leads team in a thoughtful and motivating manner.
Sets and leads by example.
Builds Healthcare Renovation Business Unit team from Project Manager down.
Attends all mandatory company and client meetings.
Holds Weekly calls with team.
Prepares and delivers weekly operational reports.
Manages marketing budget for Healthcare Renovation Business Unit.
Oversees gross profit needing approval for Healthcare Renovation Business Unit.
Project ManagementCreates new projects in Company software program, QuickBase, by defining the scope of the project and forecasting the proper amount of labor, material, and travel costs to successfully deliver company services for the projects while maintaining set profit margins for the Healthcare Renovation Business Unit.
Maintains communication with staff, vendors, and subcontractors to provide project information and updates to ensure that they have a complete understanding of the scope of work, along with the necessary tools, equipment, and materials to successfully complete the project.
Generate and manage all project related change orders with Director level oversight.
Oversee the review and approval of all timecards and expenses for each Healthcare Renovation Business Unit project in database.
Reviews project scope of work in tandem with customer-specific project completion process to ensure all necessary inspection records and documentation have been completed by the field specialist and uploaded into database.
Manages schedule and project to budget to ensure both are effectively maintained.
Ensures project quality is maintained to meet or exceed company standards.
Manage project close-out to ensure timely processing of invoices in accordance with guidelines.
Review and manage each project's contract documents, drawings, specifications and scopes of work.
Procure and manage any vendors and subcontractors for each project, when in-house resources are not available.
Obtain any other project and or client-required certifications as requested.
SchedulingGenerates, manages, and schedules all project schedule requests through database.
Works with interdepartmental teams to correctly update employee skill sets and confirm correct resources are scheduled for each project.
Alerts the Operations team of upcoming projects that may affect weekend, holiday, vacation request or any other scheduling function in advance prior to project start or resource request.
Sales/MarketingSeeks opportunities to develop relationships with new and existing contacts.
Updates customer and client communication in database.
Attends business unit specific trade shows and events.
Provides quarterly project highlights with photos and project summary to marketing for promotion on company website.
All additional requests made by the Director or CEO.
Knowledge, Skills, Ability, and Experience RequiredEducation and Experience High School Diploma, or equivalentBachelor's Degree (B.
A.
), or technical trade school equivalent preferred 7 years' of progressive experience leading construction projects and teamsMust be familiar with tenant improvement projects Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents.
Ability to respond effectively to sensitive inquiries or complaints.
Must be able to speak, understand, read and write English.
Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Ability to problem solve and think critically.
Make sound decisions and escalate matters quickly and efficiently.
Possess basic computer skills, including basic knowledge of MS Office Site.
Must be able to quickly learn new computer programs, use the internet, and operate mobile devices.
Travel RequirementsThis position requires travel up to 50% of the time, and may also require work or travel on weekends, nights, and evenings.
Working ConditionsThe primary working environment is an indoor office setting.
However, traveling to field work sites is required frequently.
Employees working in hazardous conditions and areas are required to comply with all applicable safety provisions and to use PPE.

The worker is required to function in narrow aisles or passageways.
Total Compensation PackageSalary base $120,000.
00 - $130,000.
00 Unlimited commission potential based on Business Unit annual profit.
Business unit has shown 30%-50% growth over the last few years.
