Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the scheduling and dispatching of transportation vehicles, drivers, and routes.
  • Monitor vehicle movements and track delivery progress to ensure timely arrivals and departures.
  • Communicate with drivers, customers, and internal teams to provide instructions, updates, and address any issues or delays.
  • Utilize AS400 system for managing transportation logistics, scheduling, and reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with transportation regulations and company policies.
  • Optimize routes and schedules to maximize efficiency and minimize costs.
  • Collaborate with maintenance and repair teams to ensure fleet readiness and minimize downtime.
  • Maintain accurate records of transportation activities, including schedules, routes, and driver logs.
  • Analyze transportation data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and cost-saving opportunities.
  • Provide support and assistance to drivers and other team members as needed.


Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications in logistics, transportation, or a related field is a plus.
  • Previous experience in dispatching, transportation coordination, or logistics.
  • Proficiency in AS400 systems for transportation management.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of transportation regulations and safety procedures.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
