Along with the employees of the Law Registrar's office, the registrar:
Develops, manages and communicates the student registration process and the examination process for all students of the school of law. Functions as the official custodian of the Emory Law's student records by maintaining the highest standards of customer service, accuracy, security, and compliance, while effectively serving students, faculty, alumni, and other stakeholders through innovative, collaborative, and effective processes and procedures. Integrates emerging technologies and best practices, inclusive of enterprise software, to all related transactions. Ensures business processes and associated support elements, such as training and documentation, result in accurate and complete collection of data for all records maintained by the Emory Law Registrar's Office. Implements and enforces Emory University's policies and protocols regarding the use, dissemination, integrity, security, and privacy of student information, in accordance with applicable federal and state laws and regulations, including the Family Educational and Rights Privacy Act (FERPA). Interpret, implement, and enforce American Bar Association (ABA), Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCC), and Emory University policies and procedures regarding student records, courses and academic requirements. Institutes and implements strategic and operational plans for ongoing improvements in efficiency, effectiveness of operations, and services and support. Collaborates with institutional research in the implementation of course evaluations. Participates in appropriate university-wide or school-wide committees and working groups. May hire, manage, develop, and evaluate assigned staff. Performs special projects and other responsibilities as assigned. MINIMUM
Qualifications:
A bachelor's degree in business administration, education or related field seven years of related experience in a college, professional school, or university Registrar's office, including experience as a registrar or associate registrar and a working knowledge of student registration and computerized student records information systems. PREFERRED
Qualifications:
Juris Doctor, Juris Master, or advanced degree in higher education administration. four years of experience as a registrar or associate registrar (or related senior position within a Registrar's office), five years of college administration experience, preferably within a professional school, experienced in establishing and maintaining productive working relationships with faculty, students, and school and university administration, demonstrated strong analytical, planning, writing, organization, and communication skills, working knowledge of Peoplesoft and the university STARs record environment, an understanding of relational databases, and/or supervisory experience and ability to motivate office staff to provide outstanding service to students, faculty, and staff.
Salary Range:
$150K -- $200K
Minimum Qualification
Legal & RegulatoryEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
