Summary:
The Advancement and Alumni Engagement Clinical/Grateful Patient and Medical Research team is responsible for alumni and donor engagement, donor research, solicitation, stewardship, endowments and other school/unit reporting. This position will support the Winship Cancer Institute as Georgia's only National Cancer Institute-designated comprehensive cancer center and serves as the coordinating center for cancer research, education, and care throughout Emory University. They are committed to providing comprehensive programs to treat the whole patient. This position will report to the Executive Director of Development.
Job Description:
Implements strategies for identifying, cultivating, and successfully soliciting individuals for gifts between $25K - 100K to support a department, school, or unit. Solicits gifts in support of the school/unit. Coordinates giving initiatives with central Constituent Giving office. Manages a portfolio of prospects through an active schedule of solicitation, cultivation, and stewardship calls to donors and new prospects. Builds relationships with current and prospective donors, alumni, and volunteers to support programs and priorities. May ensure the processing of gifts. Liaises with central advancement offices to monitor status of the qualification, cultivation, and stewardship of prospects to build a pipeline toward major gifts. Writes and edits communication materials directed at donors. Develops strategies for marketing new and existing programs. Maintains information on selected donors and prospects including contact reports in CRM system. Communicates in ways that are donor-centric, while furthering the mission of Emory. Travels to meet with donors as needed. May manage a program/event budget. Performs related responsibilities as required. ADDITONAL JOB DETAILS:
In addition to the duties outlined above, the Associate Director may be required to:
Meet division metrics for individual and team fundraising, visit preparation, qualification, contact reports, visits, referrals, and accurate coding using the CRM system. Represent the department, school/unit, division, or University. MINIMUM
Qualifications:
A bachelor's degree and three years of experience in higher education, development, fundraising, or related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. PREFERRED
Qualifications:
Prior experience working with comprehensive campaigns, alumni engagement, or in a university setting. Experience working with various technologies including advanced knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office Suite, mass email applications, database and project management software. Strong interpersonal, organizational, problem-solving skills with attention to detail, the ability to work with ambiguity, navigate a complex work environment, and manage multiple projects simultaneously. The ability to work independently as well as collaboratively to achieve goals with a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service. Strong written and verbal communication skills as well as effective presentation skills. Flexibility to accommodate changing priorities and deadlines. Possess a high level of professionalism and commitment to confidentiality with sound judgment and discretion.
Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
Minimum Qualification
Education AdministrationEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
