What You'll Do:
The very best teams have a leader who trains, manages, and coaches their performance to ensure goals are met. It'll be up to you to develop an inclusive culture with your team and be a mentor and role model to them in every aspect of the business. With your guidance, the team will develop reference architectures, implement security solutions and controls to protect the business, partner with cross-functional teams to ensure that security architecture and design is part of the projects at the onset.
Responsibilities:
Serves as a trusted advisor to project teams across multiple security domains. Develops security architecture roadmaps and reference architectures including design principles, best practices, and standards. Develops reference security architecture for cloud and container-based applications, including standards and frameworks that are aligned with the overall business strategy. Collaborates with technology architecture teams by reviewing proposed architectures and providing security requirements. Engages with cross-functional leaders and teams to establish strategic goals for improving the company's security architecture and overall risk posture. Engages with Development, Engineering, Product, Legal and other leaders to ensure security considerations underpin decisions about new technology, systems, network, and related programs / projects. Plays a key role in defining, drafting, validating, and implementing security policies and standards. Drives the security strategy and implementation of security controls into all aspects of the business including new business ventures and acquisitions. Ensures products and services to customers are developed in accordance with the defined security design principles and have the appropriate security controls. Keeps up to date with emerging information security trends and threats to ensure Cox systems and technologies adapt and apply best practices on an ongoing basis.
Qualifications:
10
years of experience required in the field of information security with a demonstrated path of increasing scope and management responsibilities. Excellent interpersonal, leadership, presentation, and collaborative skills to work effectively with teams throughout the organization. At least one relevant security certification - CISSP, CISM, AWS, GCP, Azure Preferred Requirements:
BS/BA degree (i.e., Computer Science/Engineering, Business, etc.) MS/MBA degree in a related field Cloud security certifications (AWS, Azure, Google). Former Director (or commensurate) level experience. Expertise in security frameworks such as ISO 27000, NIST 800-53, NIST Cybersecurity Framework. Experience implementing security solutions and processes - Identity and Acccess Management, Multi-Factor Authentication, Web Application Firewall, EndPoint solutions, Web Application Assessement. Expertise in securing cloud computing architecture including Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), and Software as a Service (SaaS). Experience developing Zero Trust Architecture including Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) design principles. Experience with modern development processes and arhitecture including containerzed delivery models. Experience in the telecommunications, financial services, defense, or government industries desired.
Salary Range:
$250K -- $500K+
Minimum Qualification
Systems Architecture & Engineering, Software Development, Technology ManagementEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
