Principal Technical Architect at Cox Enterprises in Atlanta, GA

This position reports to the Mobility Portfolio Architect. As a part of the portfolio architecture team, the Technical Architect (Data) works with Engineering, Product, and Architecture leaders to align delivery teams to a common technological and architectural vision of the data solutions that support our Mobility products. You will also work closely with the Cox Auto Data Architecture team, aligning the Mobility data strategy to the overall Cox Automotive strategy and technical implementations. You will drive the definition of architectural styles and patterns necessary to deliver the functional and nonfunctional requirements of proposed products and features, validate solutions, identify risks and dependencies, and evaluate alternatives through hands-on research, discovery, and prototyping. You will support solution development through providing, communicating, and evolving the greater technological and architectural view of the solution. You will frame solution alternatives in both technology and business terms, ensuring that business decisions are not made in isolation of their technical implications, and vice versa. The right individual will balance product solutioning with hands-on technical capabilities and extend their broader leadership capabilities to the larger community of engineers and product owners--aligning various stakeholders to a shared technical direction and strategy. You will be expected to work very closely with product engineering teams, to understand opportunities and help shape the vision for the Mobility Portfolio. As you help mature the delivery of core capabilities, your collaboration, mentorship, and technical guidance will enable those who deliver value by empowering them to increasingly make local decisions--aligned to the overall Cox Automotive architecture--providing a faster flow of incremental value and favorable economics. Being able to slice traditionally larger data development and technical initiatives into smaller and incrementally deliverable chunks of value is key for success in this role.
