Responsibilities Primary Responsibility:
As a key member of the Americold leadership team, lead the Program Management Office's global work streams for new asset builds, as well as expansions of existing infrastructure and delivery of core offerings to our customers in markets primarily, but not limited to new builds or expansions. Provide strategic leadership for multiple ongoing and future development projects. Partner with Supply Chain Solutions, Business Development, and other key functions to prioritize needs and formulate strategies for a critical growth function of the company.
Essential Functions:
o Oversees the work of all project management office personnel, and takes ownership of the resulting quality of each project. o Ensures company standards are upheld and clearly defined throughout the entire process of each project's development and execution. o Collaborates with other department Managers, reporting to executive staff and supervising all members of the PMO team. o Delivers complex customer solutions through the Program Management Discipline, integrating project management with customer requirements, with business process delivery. o Ensures current and accurate costing in conjunction with Finance. o Accountable for delivery of the project against the approved budget. o Coordinates between all support functions, HR, Admin, Finance, and Engineering, IT to deliver the operating system capabilities to incremental and new business. o Works with the Business Development, Engineering, and SC Solutions team to onboard all new business into the portfolio. o Act as the company's program management discipline leader integrating all new business initiatives into the company's portfolio. o Responsible for planning and overseeing multiple construction projects from beginning to end. o Ensures each step of the build is well managed and delivered according to schedule. o Prepares regular reports regarding job status, with a proactive approach to overcoming obstacles. o Expeditiously resolves any problems that may arise. o Proactively evaluates risks to each build and implements appropriate risk-mitigation strategies to avoid unforeseen complications. o Allocates and manages resources to ensure that they are available when they are needed throughout the construction projects. o Keeps all stakeholders aware of the progress on projects and prepares progress reports regularly. Qualifications Qualifications &
Experience:
o 20
years of progressive experience in engineering and project management. o Bachelors of Science Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Project Management (Graduate degree preferred) or other equivalent discipline o Experience in simultaneously leading multiple large multi-functional projects o Experience working through and with executive steering committees o Experience in Lean Manufacturing environments. o APICS, TQM and or Six Sigma training a plus. o Must be able to travel at least 50% of the time. Salary Range:
$250K -- $500K+
Minimum Qualification
