Senior Solution Architect - Technology Infrastructure at Cox Enterprises in Atlanta, GA
The Senior Solution Architect is responsible for providing thought leadership and strategic direction in the identification, design, and implementation of technologies to support the achievement of specific business objectives. The Senior Solution Architect is expected to provide leadership in defining sound, strategic technical solutions for high visibility, critical software solutions. Responsibilities Engages with supported technical / engineering teams on function-specific architecture design, delivery, support and maintenance projects. Supports technical discovery and assessment efforts, gathering business and technical requirements and helping architect solutions to meet gathered requirements. Designs standard solution templates using reference architectures for applications, data and technology - using and re-using common technology platforms. Develops logical and technical architecture to underpin functional and related business requirements. Avoids technical debt by developing reusable and scalable solutions. Identifies opportunities to standardize and simplify related solutions architecture across groups / divisions. Evaluates performance, security, reliability, operations, technology, and interoperability requirements and produces high level design deliverables that enable development teams to produce products that are flexible, scalable, and secure. Ensure platform and technology architecture is coded and configured to deliver the security, privacy, and data protections expected by our customers and business partners Accountable for the incorporation of cybersecurity controls, policies and procedures into each solution design as defined by information security Understand customer objectives to ensure solution recommendations are relevant and add value to the organization. Leverage and integrate existing technologies to satisfy customer business objectives. Serve as advisor to delivery and portfolio leaders to develop portfolio strategy, roadmap guidance and provide business technology consulting Responsible for developing and maintaining architecture design patterns Serve as key contributor to Architecture Community of Practice forum Architect Azure and AWS public cloud services Identify the develop cloud architecture solutions to successfully meet the strategic needs of the customer Work closely with IT security, engineering and service delivery to productize cloud services to enable speed to market, agility, innovation and cost savings. Offer guidance in migration of workloads from on-premises to public cloud

years' experience in full development life cycle and significant experience in delivering applications and architecture services in a production environment Deep understanding of the architecture discipline, processes, concepts and best practices 3
years' experience in the implementation of structured design and architecture processes in a corporate environment Demonstrated proficiency in at least two of the following areas:
business architecture, application architecture, data architecture, technical/infrastructure architecture, security disciplines, or operational disciplines Experience with complex data platforms, both relational and unstructured, is strongly desired Experience in using and designing cloud platform solutions (IaaS, PaaS), i.e. Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure Knowledge of application integration leveraging custom and pre-built APIs Experience in leading software evaluations and selection of major, enterprise-wide software solutions Detailed knowledge of identity and access management, digital certificates, and directory services from a security and data protection perspective Demonstrated ability to build operational, service level agreements, and business needs into the architecture of solutions Functional understanding of intelligent automation services and capabilities Experience incorporating mobile application architecture in enterprise business platforms Ability to persuade users, project managers, and senior leadership on technical solutions Ability to work across multiple organizations to complete projects. Outstanding verbal, presentation, and written skills. Self-motivated with demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision Knowledge sharing and mentoring of team members is expected AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Associate or Professional), CISSP, ITIL Certifications
Salary Range:
$100K -- $150K
