The Database Administrator (DBA) is primarily responsible for creating, administering, optimizing, and troubleshooting high-availability MS SQL Server instances. This includes backup/restore activities, business continuity development and testing, performance optimization, security administration, version upgrades, patching, and architecture guidance. Do YOU Possess These Skills and Attributes? 5 years of hands-on experience administering Microsoft SQL Server through Server 2019, including Always On clusters Experience analyzing and optimizing SQL queries Experience writing store procedures Experience with serverless SQL Server in Azure Intermediate to advanced knowledge of automating routine SQL Server administrative tasks using PowerShell A motivated, self-directed team player who can work under pressure and is passionate about Information Technology. A healthy dose of curiosity about why things work the way they do is a huge benefit. Strong written and spoken English skills. This position will require that you communicate with co-workers at all levels of the organization. A positive, can-do attitude is critical to the role. Do These Responsibilities Interest YOU? Design, manage, and optimize Always On SQL Server instances Design, manage, and optimize Backup and Restore activities Identify and remediate performance bottlenecks Tune and optimize routine workloads Refine and adhere to KPIs specific to data churn, database performance, and storage usage As a member of the Infrastructure team, some Windows and/or Linux server administration may be required incidental to the DBA responsibilities Perform some after-hours support as required Approximately one Saturday per quarter is used for disruptive maintenance A rotating on-call for critical system issues may require some after-hours availability Occasional domestic travel may be required. Bachelor of Science in an IT-related discipline
Experience:
Five years of hands-on experience in an IT Infrastructure Role An equivalent combination of Education and Experience may be considered. Who We Are:

Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
