Summary:
This job entails managing multiple development teams, who develop complex software projects from kick-off to deployment, while working with business, product and technology stakeholders. This person would be expected to lead technical resources who are responsible for the scheduling and tracking of various tasks during all phases of value delivery. This includes discovery, requirements, design, construction, unit testing, QA testing, deployment and on-going maintenance. This leader would oversee the execution of multiple initiatives across the enterprise with the responsibility for ensuring alignment to the prioritized business unit goals. This person will be a champion for the defined software delivery processes and how it fits into the full product development life cycle. Manage both business unit and customer(internal/external) expectations. This position will also be responsible for building and growing the department through the hiring and FTE, growth of existing team members and partnering effectively with our external resource providers Provides leadership to the existing software engineering teams and builds a commitment to continuous improvement community of practice through action. Clearly articulates, presents and creates buy in for these ideas to senior leadership. Lastly, they would be expected for driving projects to successful completion, resolving all delivery related issues and overcoming any roadblocks in the delivery of value to our customers.
Qualifications:
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS 6
years of relevant experience with at least 4
years in a leadership role OR MS
4 years of experience OR 10 years experience, if no degree Proven leadership in managing a software development groups (both internal and external partners) to achieve desired business outcomes Hands on experience of managing complex software development initiatives Preferred technical understanding of following technologies - AWS/Python/Dart and Flutter/NoSQL Strong knowledge of lean software development practices with a focus on Kanban based delivery model Strong knowledge, and proven results in leading software development teams in their pursuit of delivering value Proven ability to work with multiple business units and understand business needs across delivery streams Ability to work in fast paced and dynamic development environment Must be able to interact and communicate with all levels of staff and project management in both the business and the technical areas, with the ability to keep discussions at the appropriate level of abstraction Possess excellent analytical, problem solving, organizational, interpersonal, and motivational skills, with the ability to move cleanly from theoretical to implementation thinking Who We Are About Cox Automotive There's nothing ordinary about Cox Automotive. Salary Range:
$150K -- $200K
Minimum Qualification
Software DevelopmentEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
