Digital Communications Specialist

Southern Company Corporate Communications is looking for an energetic, solutions-oriented and creator at heart who is passionate about creating engaging and compelling content to join the team as a Digital Communications Specialist. In this position, you'll manage the end-to-end production process for content creation (i.e., videos, internal TV shows, podcast, etc.) that innovatively brings the Southern Company brand and business initiatives to life internally and externally. Must have strong communications, storytelling, and project management skills; experience in editing/producing for linear, digital, and social platforms; work collaboratively in a team environment; and be able to provide world class customer service. Responsibilities:
Lead the creative and production process from ideation, scriptwriting, content calendar, field production through post-production and distribution. Savvy in the creation of short-form (under :

00) scripted and non-scripted content for various platforms. Excellent writing and communication skills. Ability to articulate a production plan in a concise and clear manner and writing intranet and external website stories that support content. Ability to lead and collaborate successfully across internal and external partners. Create and manage multiple project timelines to ensure projects are completed efficiently, on time and within budget. Ability to identity and apply key metrics to evaluate content effectiveness Qualifications Education, Certifications, Licenses BA/BFA degree or experience within the TV news/entertainment/creative/marketing industry Related Work Experience Minimum of 5 years of experience as a field producer, news producer, assignment editor, or multimedia/production experience at an agency or company Applicant may possess a combination of equivalent education and work experience. Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
Minimum Qualification
Communications & PREstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
