Energy Service Engineer - Utility Services

This is a customer facing position in Utility Services, an unregulated business unit within Georgia Power. Utility Services is a successful and growing business unit that operates in a competitive profit and loss environment where we experience the excitement and competitive nature of a small business while still being a part of Georgia Power. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing and overseeing energy audits and detailed scopes of work as well as providing technical support on energy conservation projects in the K-12 school, commercial, university, and local/state/federal government markets. This person will participate and lead the team in the initial audit, project scope development, calculation and validation of energy savings, assembly of audit proposal, review of customer and vendor technical scope, resolution of issues during construction, and oversee performance of the measurement and verification reporting process. This role will be the primary interface between the Energy Services team and external engineering firms during the development, installation, and measurement and verification phases of energy projects. This position has statewide responsibilities. JOB REQUIREMENTS Job Experience and Education Education Bachelors level degree in Engineering required Mechanical Engineering degree preferred Professional Engineer preferred Certified Energy Manager preferred Job Experience Minimum of 5 years' experience in energy engineering required Proven success with K-12 schools and federal customers is preferred Experience working with contractors to develop and deliver solutions Performance contracting experience Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Demonstrated ability to provide all aspects of energy project development Education of customer on technical options, Understanding of multiple mechanical systems and typical energy conservation measures (ECMs) Electric/gas/water rate schedules Interaction of ECMs Building modeling Savings calculations Lifecycle cost analysis Strong technical skills across multiple technologies to include interior lighting, water conservation, boilers, chillers, building control systems, motors, package HVAC equipment, central plant equipment, heat recovery, and other mechanical equipment. Strong attention to detail Complex problem-solving skills and the ability to multi-task Strategic thinker Ability to build relationships Strong computer skills utilizing MS Office products (Word, Excel, Access, and Power Point) Strong verbal (listening and speaking) and written skills required Ability to manage multiple projects in multiple locations in various stages of development and construction Proven customer relations and strong customer service focus always Excellent presentation skills which could be delivered one-on-one or large group settings Ability to resolve issues/problems in a positive manner between customers, manufacturers, customers, and other stakeholders OTHER REQUIREMENTS Must be available to travel statewide which could include overnight travel (5-6 nights/month) Valid driver's license required Must be willing to use personal vehicle to call on clients (mileage reimbursed) BEHAVIORAL ATTRIBUTES Safety Excellence Strong interpersonal skills Proactive and self-motivated Must be a team player as well as work independently with minimal supervision Customer focused and strong customer relations skills Seeks continuous personal development
Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
Minimum Qualification
Mechanical EngineeringEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
