Sr. SAP Developer, ABAP
Position Overview Within Novelis's Global Applications Center of Excellence (COE), the senior SAP developer is responsible for developing ABAP code to support custom solutions in ECC, APO and Fiori. This individual will have the opportunity to work closely with the Functional IT Leads to translate functional requirements into code-based solutions. Responsibilities & Qualifications
Responsibilities:
Requirements Gathering - the exercise of gathering the information needed from the functional leads to develop complex objects to meet their intended purpose Proficient in developing OData gateway services including CDS views Expert in UI5 (Fiori) configuration and development using WebIDE/Eclipse BTP (Business Technology Platform) experience nice to have Experienced with AMDP(ABAP Managged Database procedure) Preferred experience in BRF
Custom objects include all RICEFW - with strong knowledge in Idocs, Smartforms, Enhancements (user-exits, BADI's, etc) Knowledge in SD, MM, PP, FI/CO, APO, PM required Leadership skills to work with and manage offshore developers Ability to manage own transports as well as offshore transports Knowledge of ChaRM transport management - optional, will be trained Collaborates with team to manage deliverables Ability to read design documentation to provide accurate estimates for development (including analysis, development, technical unit testing) Provides technical design recommendations ensuring scalability of the solution Ensures adherence to organization, project standards and documentation standards Promotes the application maintenance, project methodology and processes standards defined by IT Creates documentation such as unit testing, technical specifications Actively supports the outsourcing partner when needed or requested by the Operations Support Lead Challenges to expect:
Responsible for developing code that supports different plants yet the solution needs to remain scalable and global Conducts and reviews coding solutions that are developed by external, offshore resources
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in IT or related field Minimum 7 years' in ABAP in ECC 6.0 Minimum 3 years' in S/4 Minimum 5 years' experience in oData development Minimum 5 years' experience in Fiori development and troubleshooting Leadership ability required Must thrive in a team oriented, highly collaborative workplace Excellent oral and written communication skills Must be able to prioritize across multiple projects and initiatives in a global setting Ability to create Technical Specifications, Perform Technical Testing Able to work with functional resources to clarify questions about designs and solutions Must be comfortable with providing direction and oversight to offshore resources
Salary Range:
$100K -- $150K
