As an accredited public health department, we're seeking a highly qualified candidate for the position of Compliance Investigator 3 in the Office of the Inspector General.

Under broad supervision, assists in the operations of a unit, developing and administering policy, procedures & plans, and performs special projects as delegated.
Conduct investigations to obtain evidence of reported fraud, abuse, or violation of rules, regulations, or statutes, or locate missing persons.
May supervise subordinate staff.
Primary Duties &
Responsibilities:
Performs job responsibilities with minimal supervision Serves as job expert or organization resource in assigned areas Assists in developing and administering policies, procedures, and plans Assists in preparing comprehensive and detailed reports of investigation Conducts investigations to ascertain facts and obtain evidence on alleged violations and misconduct; interviews witnesses and obtains statements Conducts training and outreach for interested parties Drafts and issues subpoenas; evaluates complaints Explains the law or other agency regulations to the parties in violation to give support or secure compliance Issues warnings, citations and may request arrest warrants Monitors compliance with terms of licensure Perform internal audits to determine misuse of time, funds, and/or equipment Compiles and prepares summary reports, maintains case files and documentation of case resolutions, and tracking data for legal requirements Reviews and scrutinizes subpoenaed financial records, documents, and records for security violations Seizes, maintains control of and disposes of contraband Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university AND Three years of related law enforcement experience, One year of which is experience as a supervisor OR Associate's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university AND Five years of directly related experience, Two years of which is experience as a supervisor OR Five years of directly-related experience in the area of assignment, Two years of which is experience as a supervisor OR One year of experience required at the lower level Compliance Investigator 2 (PSP081) or position equivalent.

DPH accepts educational credential recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) and/or the US Department of Education (DOE) will be considered.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
