Open Until Filled We're seeking a Sales Assistant who will be an important liaison between our sales staff, brokers and home office business partners to help our sales team reach their objectives.
You will support them by managing quotation activity, broker processes, and broker partnerships.
This role will have a meaningful impact on achieving the company's goals.
WHAT WE CAN OFFER YOU:
Estimated Hourly Wage:
$22-29/hr, plus annual bonus opportunity.
Regular associates working 40 hours a week can earn up to 15 days of vacation each year.
Regular associates receive 9 paid holidays in 2023.
Regular associates are provided sick leave through the use of personal time.
Associates working 40 hours a week can receive up to 56 hours of personal time in 2023, prorated based on the start date.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Manage quotation activity, broker processes, and building relationships with broker partners to help them meet sales targets.
You'll assist in finalist presentations, enrollment meetings, and new client meetings, as well as visit sales representatives on a regular basis.
Examine, compile, and follow up on requests for proposals (RFPs) from brokers, consultants, and agents.
Underwrite, quote premium rates, and coordinate with underwriting team to determine appropriate rates and/or revisions.
You'll monitor the close of sales and manage installation activities.
Maintain knowledge of industry trends and products as well as compliance with state insurance department regulations.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING Knowledge and understanding of Group Insurance procedures for underwriting and rating.
Effective communication and human relations skills.
Proficient computer skills, including a working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
Understanding of the laws governing the insurance industry.
