Business Management Consultant works with our strategic customers and prospects to provide business driven and data backed solutions helping our customers meet and exceed their strategic business goals, achieving operational excellence, solving complex business problems through smart use of their ecosystem through our technology.
Leveraging and evolving our strong consultancy framework to drive proactive strategic consultancy.
Leading with a narrative of business value not solution components coupled with the ability to use data to pinpoint business opportunities and quantify demonstrable business value.
Continuously learn and evolve from each engagement to further solidify our proven consultancy practices.
Works collaboratively with the commercial teams to identify and execute consultancy activity for the customers and create additional revenue (direct or indirect) for Travelport.
This is a highly visible role, regularly working with the customers CTO / CIO & CxO level, to help them deliver on their business technology strategy.
This individual will be competent and capable of regularly liaising with, influencing, and communicating with all levels of executive stakeholders internally and externally across a highly matrixed environment.
Responsibilities:
Organize and execute assigned business projects according to the customer's requirements.
Collect information about the client's business through a variety of methods (shadowing, interviews, surveys, reading reports etc.
) Analyze and interpret data to unearth weaknesses and problems and comprehend the causes.
Present findings and suggestions to customer with ample justification, value, and practical advice Develop detailed business plans to drive small or radical changes.
Assist the customer in implementing the plan and resolve any occasional discrepancies.
Develop datasets to benchmark different customer segments.
Develop paid consultancy model and packages.
Work closely with Travelport Product organization to provide input into product strategy and direction based on customer trends and insights.
Certified Management Consultant and Six Sigma certification is a plus.
Formulate recommendations and solutions with attention to a customer's business opportunities, capabilities and limitations forming concise reports.
Develop 3-5 year vision maps for customers which powerfully combine their strategy with Travelport's product and technology roadmap.
Provide active participation through leading the technology and solution components of customer RFPs, RFI's, RFQs etc.
Partner with key stakeholders in the region to support complex sales cycle, aligned to regional customer strategy and goals.
The role holds full accountability and ownership of end-to-end delivery of the assigned customer projects.
Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of competitive information, new emerging technologies, technical standards, development methodologies, and innovations in the industry.
What we look for/who would prosper in this role? 10
years' experience in travel industry, software development and/or in the professional services area with Consultative, Solutions Selling and Technical delivery experience.
Excellent consultancy and relationship management skills.
Strong business acumen and technical knowledge of the travel industry and can formulate a clear business case and value drivers to the customer.
Crafts and delivers persuasive presentations to executive and strategic stakeholders, leading with the business value narrative.
Effective use data to pinpoint business opportunities and to quantify and demonstrate business value.
Excellent interpersonal, communicate and influence, with an ability to employ a wide variety of techniques from C suite down to end user level.
Proactively and naturally builds rapport and ongoing relationships with customers to drive a better understand their current and future needs.
Is strategic in nature and can quickly identify short term and long-term benefits of a set of initiatives and determine the best path to deliver sustained business benefits to a customer.
Is creative, innovative and acts as a change agent.
Ability to lead teams and deliver results in a matrix organisation.
Ability to manage highly pressurized situations and adapt to rapidly changing environments and requirements.
Maintains knowledge of industry and technology trends and competitors' components with the ability to use this knowledge strategically to sell the superior benefits of Travelport whilst meeting the customers' technology goals.

Salary Target:
$130,000-$170,000The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty, and training.
