Quality Assurance- Lab Assistant (Athens)The Quality Assurance Laboratory Assistant is a part time positon that supports laboratory operations in housekeeping, organization, receiving, clerical duties, basic laboratory tasks, and other duties as assigned.
This position is onsite in the laboratory.
Essential Functions Adheres to all laboratory safety requirements.
Maintains basic knowledge of chemical safety.
Maintains a clean and safe environment on a daily basis.
Responsible for general housekeeping of the laboratory, including organizing and disposing of samples per SOP.
Assists with receiving and checking in samples in an orderly and organized fashion.
Ensure that all samples are received per SOP and are associated with a Chain of Custody.
Assist with daily checks for all testing performed in the laboratory per SOP.
Documents all results, calibrations, and system suitability checks in data management system.
Notifies manager and chemist of any issues regarding instrumentation and testing.
Assists with entering and/or filing laboratory documentation, data, and reports into the appropriate data management systems per SOP.
Assists with maintaining an inventory of the chemicals commonly used in the laboratory, including but not limited to chemical name, quantity on site, storage container and location, description, CAS, etc.
Notifies the manager of any new reagents needed.
Assists with entering data from external laboratory reports into the in-house data management system.
Saves external laboratory reports in designated location.
Elevates out-of-specification results to laboratory manager and appropriate personnel in a timely manner.
Assists with basic sample preparation and testing, as needed.
Additional training is required.
Assists with other duties, as assigned.

Knowledge of basic laboratory and chemical safety.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
