GA DOR - Budget Analyst

The Budget Analyst will be responsible for assisting the Information Technology Division (ITD) with designing budget processes to adhere with the State and DOR finance team submission requirements.
Candidate MUST be local to Metro Atlanta.
Hybrid/TeleworkSUMMARY OF DUTIES:
The Budget Analyst will be responsible for assisting the Information Technology Division (ITD) with designing budget processes to adhere with the State and DOR finance team submission requirements.
The role will collaborate with DOR's finance team to ensure the templates and processes implemented align with the needs of ITD.
In addition, the Budget Analyst will assist with the establishment of templates, procedures, and documentation for ITD to maintain the new changes and processes.
RESPONSBILITIES:
oAssist with the reconciliation and validation of invoices for budget planningoProvide budget projections and forecasts for the budget year and subsequent budget yearsoAssist with the generation of presentations and documents for budget spending plansoAlign ITD funding requests with finance's guidelines to ensure requests are consistent with budget projections and requirementsoDevelop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and documentation for budget projections, review, and reconciliationoAssist ITD leadership with strategic planning including the development of financial presentations and analysisoAssist with the monthly and quarterly review of reports and invoices to identify variances and trends to make recommendations to resolve issuesoAssist with the development of automated financial reports for KPIsEDUCIATION /
Qualifications:
oBachelor's degree in related field and 3-5 years of financial analysis and reporting experienceoFinancial consolidation experienceoProficient using Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)oExcellent communication and analytical skills to support data-focused solutionsoExperience in researching, planning, forecasting, summarizing financial dataoAbility to review historical financial data and trends to prepare and validate budget estimatesoAbility to gather, analyze, verify, and consolidate financial information and statistical data.
oSkilled in researching, planning, forecasting, compiling, and summarizing data concerning budget projectionsoAbility to review historical financial data and trends to prepare and validate budget estimatesoAbility to identify and resolve financial and/or budget-related issues and questionsoProficient using Microsoft Power BIoExperience using AWS billing processes, reconciling billing data, providing data management, and pricing calculationsADDITIONAL REQUIRED SKILLS AND
Experience:
oExcellent written and verbal communication skillsoMulti-task and prioritize job needsoWork under pressure; assess, respond to, and communicate issues in a timely manneroBuild positive working relationships with internal and external customersoDOR will conduct a background check on all candidates considered for the position.
Individuals must be compliant with Georgia tax obligations.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
