Position Overview The Quality Assurance Manager will oversee all quality assurance activities for Southface's EarthCraft Program.
This position will ensure that EarthCraft participants, including builders, sub-contractors and third-party verifiers, are meeting program criteria.
The Quality Assurance manager will work with all certification types within the EarthCraft Program, including EarthCraft House, Multifamily, Light Commercial and Sustainable Preservation.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Oversee all residential program quality assurance activities:
File reviews of project submittals, including diagnostic testing results, energy model reports and completed EarthCraft Program documents Field reviews of individuals who participate with Southface programs Report and track all quality assurance activities within Southface's Salesforce database for EarthCraft.
Assist with field training and mentoring for EarthCraft certified professionals:
Provide field mentoring for new EarthCraft Builders and Technical Advisors Serve as an internal technical resource for the EarthCraft Program Work with the EarthCraft Program Manager on program updates and regular technical standards maintenance Other tasks as necessary.
Qualifications Bachelor's degree in architecture or engineering field related to building construction or 2-4 years of experience in building design/construction.
Certified RESNET HERS Rater preferred.
Energy modeling experience; Ekotrope preferred Green Building Certification
Experience:
LEED, EarthCraft; NGBS, Enterprise Green Communities Collaborative and positive demeanor Demonstrated commitment to Southface's mission Valid driver's license is required Physical Requirements Performing fieldwork involves extensive navigation in and around construction sites, buildings, attics and sites, as well as climbing ladders.
Therefore, an applicant must possess physical dexterity, endurance and balance to safely and effectively accomplish this work.
