The RCB - Systems Support Department is seeking (1 ) a College Technology Director who will oversee and manage the college's information technology systems and services.

The Director will provide strategic direction, lead a team of IT professionals, and ensure the efficient and effective operation of the college's technology infrastructure.
The mission of College Technology Services is to make technology effortless so that our faculty and staff can stay focused on creating knowledge through research and delivering educational experiences that prepare students of all backgrounds to be leaders and innovators in business and society.
This role will collaborate closely with the central IT organization and lead technology strategy and operations within the department.
The College Technology Director will play a critical role in aligning the college IT initiatives with the institution's overall IT and strategic objectives while ensuring the specific needs of the college are met.
Reporting to the Assistant Dean of Finance and Administration, the Director will be responsible for the following:
Strategic Planning:
Develop and implement an IT strategy aligned with the college and university's goals and objectives, identifying opportunities for technological advancements to make research, teaching, learning, and administrative processes effortless.
Team Leadership:
Manage and mentor a team of IT professionals, providing guidance, and support to ensure their professional development and optimal performance.
Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
Technology Management and Operations :
Oversee the delivery of IT services and technical support to the college faculty, staff, and students.
Collaborate with the central IT organization to ensure adherence to IT policies, procedures, and standards for data security and compliance.
Establish effective communication between the College Technology Services team and the central IT organization to address IT-related needs and issues promptly.
Budgeting and Resource Management:
Develop and manage the IT department budget, making informed decisions regarding investments in technology, hardware, software, and other resources.
Data Security and Compliance :
Implement and enforce robust data security measures to protect the college's information assets.
Work with the university cybersecurity team to ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and university system policies.
User Support and Training:
Coordinate the provision of IT support services to students, faculty, and staff, addressing technical issues and ensuring timely resolution.
Technology Integration:
Collaborate with academic and administrative departments to identify technology needs, evaluate solutions, and integrate appropriate systems to support teaching, learning, research, and administrative processes.
Foster innovation and explore emerging technologies.

Your retirement benefit is calculated by factoring in years of service, final salary, and a 2% multiplier.

Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, IT, or a related field, 5 years of experience in management, direction and support of IT systems, infrastructure, and educational technologies and related technologies or a combination of education and experience Preferred Hiring Qualifications Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, IT, or a related field (or equivalent experience) Proven experience in a senior IT leadership role, preferably in higher education Strong knowledge of IT systems, infrastructure, and educational technologies Demonstrated experience in strategic planning and execution Excellent leadership and people management skills Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities Knowledge of data security and compliance requirements Experience in managing IT budgets and teams Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders and build strong relationships Recommended Skills Administration Communication Decision Making Educational Technologies Finance It Service Management Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
