Sr. Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Analyst

Your responsibilitiesthyssenkrupp Polysius is currently seeking a Controller - Financial Planning & Analysis in our Atlanta, GA location.
This position will be responsible for playing a pivotal role in providing strategic financial insights, driving financial planning and analysis activities, and supporting decision-making at the senior management level.
This position will collaborate with various departments, and mentor junior analysts, utilizing their expertise to deliver accurate and valuable financial analysis.
Essential Duties &
Responsibilities:
Lead the financial planning and analysis process, including budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning.
Provide guidance and support to analysts in conducting comprehensive financial analysis, identifying trends, and evaluating business performance.
Develop financial models and conduct scenario analysis to support strategic decision-making.
Lead the month end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, ensuring accurate and timely completion.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure all financial transactions are properly reported.
Review financial statements and prepare necessary adjustments, accruals, and provisions.
Prepare accurate and insightful financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Summarize key findings, trends, and variances, and provide recommendations to optimize financial performance.
Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure financial reporting meets regulatory requirements and accounting standards.
Analyze financial and operational data to assess business performance, identify risks and opportunities, and make strategic recommendations.
Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) and monitoring mechanisms to track performance against targets.
Provide actionable insights and forecasts to support business planning and operational improvements.
Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes, improve data accuracy, and enhance financial systems and reporting tools.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements, automate manual tasks, and optimize the efficiency of financial operations.
Identify further reporting and analysis needs.
Lead and manage financial projects, ensuring deadlines are met and deliverables are of high quality.
Promote a collaborative team environment and encourage knowledge sharing and best practices.
Develop and maintain cash flow projections and forecasts to assess liquidity needs and optimize cash management.
Analyze cash flow patterns, identify areas of improvement, and make recommendations for efficient cash utilization.
Prepare accurate cash flow reports and present findings to senior management.
Perform various other accounting duties as needed and conduct ad hoc financial analyses, perform scenario modeling, and support special projects.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and recommendations.
Assist in the development of financial forecasts and projections.
Supervisory
Responsibilities:
This position will have no direct supervisory responsibilities.
Your profileRequired Education &
Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (Master's degree preferred) and 4
years of relevant experience in a financial analysis role or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Required Knowledge & Skills:
Proven experience as a Financial Analyst, with a focus on financial planning and analysis.
Strong knowledge of financial analysis techniques, financial modeling, and valuation methodologies.
Proficiency in financial planning software, ERP systems, and advanced Excel skills.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial concepts clearly and effectively.
Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial statements.
Leadership skills and experience in mentoring and guiding junior analysts.
Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred
Qualifications:
Working knowledge of SAP, Power BI, and advanced skills with Microsoft Office (especially Microsoft Excel, Pivot tables, etc.
).
Solution-oriented self-starter committed to getting the job done.
Ability to work effectively both individually and cross-functionally as part of a team.
Able to manage multiple and changing priorities.

Travel:
Occasional domestic travel is required.
