Utilization Review Coordinator-PRN

Responsibilities The Utilization Review Coordinator performs admission and concurrent review of patients.
Assures optimum quality of patient care in the most cost-effective manner.
Works with the ARS, Physicians and the Social Services department to ensure quality of documentation of patient care.
Conducts concurrent and extended stay reviews on appropriate day and/or specified time.
Prepares and submits appeals to third party payers, effectively coordinating collection of all pertinent data to support the hospital and patient's position, as well as other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Education:
Bachelor's Degree
Experience:
Three (3) to five (5) years' experience in chart analysis and utilization review in the psychiatric and chemical dependency field preferred.
License/Certification:
Skills:
Good oral and written communication skills required to communicate in a clear and concise manner with patients, physicians, staff and administration.
Stable emotional makeup required to work in a fast paced environment with frequent interruptions.
Physical Requirements:
Work is sedentary requiring sitting most of the day.
Sitting at least six (6) hours a day while processing paperwork, answering the phones and other described duties.
One half of the day is spent on the telephone.
Standing at least one hour a day while making copies, delivering message, etc.
Lifting up to 20lbs of copier paper from floor level to check level while filling copier with paper.
Recommended Skills Administration Communication Health Care Psychiatry Social Work Substance Dependence Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
