The exclusive Waldorf Astoria Atlanta Buckhead is seeking an Assistant Restaurant Manager to join its elite management team! The Assistant Restaurant Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily Food and Beverage operations, maintenance of quality standards, and training and performance management of all team members in F&B outlets (Restaurant, and Bar and In-Room Dining).
This role reports directly to the Director of Restaurants.
What will I be doing? o Support Company's philosophy and company culture o Ensure compliance with standards of operation and Waldorf Astoria Hotels and Resorts standards of service at all times.
o Ensure that staffing is maintained at an appropriate level to match business demand.
o Participate in all regular and ad hoc operational meetings as required.
o Establish monthly reporting system to monitor; Key Performance Indicators, operational expenses, project updates, SALT activities and other related tasks.
o Handles all guest complaints expeditiously to complete resolution.
o Manage projects and any other reasonable duties as required by hotel management.
o Oversee F&B candidate selection and staffing.
o Oversee staff performance of all F&B Team Members.
o Develop team members through coaching within the F&B Division.
o Ensure that the appraisal and succession planning systems and deadlines are utilized and adhered to.
o Complete ownership for the ongoing training requirements in the F&B Division.
o Ensure that coaching procedures are undertaken fairly and in accordance to hotel policies.
o Closely monitors the daily, weekly and monthly financial performance of all outlets providing solutions to improve problem areas and assisting in implementing corrective measures.
o Contributes to the hotel's overall financial performance.
o Ensure F&B operations meet all Waldorf Astoria Hotels and Resorts Audit requirements.
o Maintenance and programming of all F&B Systems.
o Participates in public relations activities, sales calls or other promotional activities designed to enhance the image and profitability of the food and beverage department of the hotel.
o Monitors and analyzes competitor operations in order to assess their activities and trends and to ensure that we stay ahead of the competition.
o Review and analyze market trends globally and locally in order to keep up to date in our own operation.
o To ensure that the safety levels required in the pool operation are adhered to at all times.
o Ensure that all services offered to the Residences are delivered.
o Ensure that strong relationships are built with the Residential Owners to maximize their use of hotel outlets and services.
o Other duties as assigned.
What are we looking for? o Excellent communication skills in all aspects:
verbal and written.
o Professional and appropriate business appearance and presentation.
o 2 years' experience in a comparable position in a luxury hotel operation is preferred.
o Excellent knowledge of all aspects of F&B Operations, including Restaurant and Bar management, and In Room Dining.
o Flexible work hours to meet the demands of a 24-hour operation.
o Must be highly analytical and able to work expansively with spreadsheets and budgeting packages.
o Possess excellent organizational and administrative skills.
o Quality driven with a passion for excellence in guest service and satisfaction.
o Approachable, open minded and fair.
o Must be able to work in a team environment and independently on occasions.
o Ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time.
o Experience and expertise in developing, facilitating and writing training materials.
o Capable of running mid to senior level management programs.
o Proficient in Microsoft Office software.
