Director, Quality Data Analytics

The Director of Quality Data Analytics serves as a champion responsible for providing direction and leadership to the quality data and analytics team and oversight of the design, management, presentation (visualization), and integrity of data collection, data analysis, and interpretation.
The Director aids in planning, prioritizing, implementing, and evaluating clinical quality and improvement measures, projects, and initiatives.
The Director assures data governance, and integrity standards are adhered to when transmitting data and obtaining benchmarks from internal and external applications.
The Director works closely and collaboratively with senior, system, and clinical leaders and team members across the health system related to data management, visualization, and data analysis and interpretation, providing support, advice, and guidance.
The Director leads large-scale projects and initiatives to address critical health system quality challenges and achieve system-wide goals and objectives.
The Director directs and supervises personnel, including hiring, orientation, performance evaluation, and management, providing direction, guidance, and leadership for effective teamwork and motivation.
The Director assists in preparing an annual plan and year-end summary report on progress toward goals and related achievements.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:

Directs the development of integrated departmental information systems to efficiently manage data to support medical staff QI files, peer review, and outcomes analysis and functional status for both internal and external databases.

Oversees the process of abstracting and compiling clinical data and reporting to various clinical data registries and entities as required.

Utilizes data sources to procure actionable data for various clinical teams.

Oversees preparation of reports for the hospital executives and other hospital and medical staff leaders.

Analyzes hospital outcome data including calculation of appropriate sample sizes, regression analysis, correlations, and statistical significance.
Based on analysis identifies areas for improvement for both the hospital and medical staff.

Makes recommendations on methodology regarding data accuracy, availability, usefulness, and other issues as necessary.

Identifies appropriate external benchmarks for use in clinical measurement and comparison.

Provides information system guidance and support, and leads the efforts to resolve any compatibility or interface problems.

Provide expertise and translate business needs into the design and development of reports, visualizations, and analyses.

Assist in the development of project requirements, analytic plans, project timelines, and other related materials for the management of deliverables.

Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to manage data logistics, including data transfers, understanding data structures, ETL processes, etc.

Develop and maintain a data accuracy and system maintenance program.

Evaluate data systems and offer creative ideas to improve existing workflows and processes.

Manage multiple projects concurrently to ensure successful completion of analytic projects.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIRED
Bachelors degree in actuarial science, statistics, mathematics, health information management, IT, engineering, health informatics, or in a related field.

Minimum three (3) years of progressive leadership experience in a healthcare data analytics role.

Demonstrated knowledge of hospital and health system operations.

Minimum five (5) years of experience evaluating, refining, and improving clinical data collection, analysis, and reporting.

Demonstrated knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical software applications.

Excellent communication skills:
demonstrated ability to communicate both written and orally effectively.

Strong analytical and organizational skills.

Ability to work independently, coordinate multiple projects simultaneously, and meet required deadlines.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION PREFERRED
Masters or doctoral degree in actuarial science, statistics, mathematics, health information management, IT, engineering, health informatics, or in a related field.

Previous experience in a consulting capacity.

Midas system management experience.

Five (5) years or more of progressive leadership experience in a healthcare data analytics role.
This role is based in Atlanta, GA and the direct hire Must be on site 5 Days a week.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
