RemoteSome travel to Asia-based suppliers necessary World Centric is a highly mission driven company that seeks to have a meaningful impact on people and planet through our compostable products and the donation of 25% of profits to the most vulnerable in the worldFor more information on working and life at World Centric, please visit our website World Centric contract manufacturers compostable food service disposable products (cups, plates, bowls, utensils) in high volumeWe are looking for a Quality Manufacturing Engineer to work with our contract suppliers in Asia to ensure consistent high volume, non-defective parts productionFood packaging manufacturing tends to be high volume with relaxed processes/controls, low tolerances and often leads to defective partsThe engineer would work with the manufacturing partners to implement proper processes/controls, documentation, data collection, quality parameters/checks and training to ensure consistent production of partsResponsibilities Work with suppliers to implement proper processes/controls, documentation and sampling proceduresPerform root cause analysis of failed partsIdentify problems due to manufacturing conditions, design tolerances or other reasonsManage corrective action requests and audit processes/controls with suppliersManage/hire QC personnel as needed for onsite inspection/validationAssess and monitor regulatory compliance risk areas and develop/implement risk mitigation measuresTrack and report manufacturing performance metrics and KPI'sInvestigate field/customer product quality complaints; and manage corrective actions Work with Product Development and Sourcing Teams for implementing new product validation and processesManage supplier certification / compliance tracking documents and ensure Certifications are current and accessibleAnalyze metrics/KPI's to prepare supplier scorecards for supplier quarterly business reviewsContinuous review of processes to improve efficiencies and qualityProvide day-to-day oversight and support of product complaint and recall processesProvide periodic testing of products for functionality, compliance, and conformance as required and document with samplesPI226229294 Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
