Brown & Brown's Risk Solutions team, formerly known as Beecher Carlson, is looking for a Senior Claims Analyst to join the Risk Optimization Group in Atlanta, GA.
The Risk Optimization Group is composed of experienced insurance professionals, risk analysts, and actuaries analyzing client's insurance programs to meet their organizational and strategic goals.
The Senior Claims Analyst will support the claims team and provide claims analysis, advocacy, and program analysis to identify client needs and trends.
The Senior Claims Analyst will collaborate with consultants to develop and communicate strategies to achieve Risk Management goals.
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Assist production teams with mid-market account management, renewal negotiations, special projects, resolution of claims and loss issues and provide support to Claims Consultants and other Beecher staff on large account management.
Assist clients and Claims Consultants in reporting claims to carrier and TPA systems and analyzing data obtained from carrier and TPA systems.
Performs claims analysis for monthly loss reporting for delivery to client and Claims Consultant Attends and provides follow up deliverables at claim review and audit meetings with clients and claims consultant Works with claim consultant in preparation of submission for marketing claim vendor services Works collaboratively with claims consultant to conduct internal audits on claim vendor services Conducts initial review and analysis of client's policy language for presentation to clients Produces status reports to clients for various claims functions (i.
e.
subrogation reports, claim financial reports, etc.
) Maintain a customer centered outlook and continuously self-educate on client's businesses, goals, policy coverage, claims practices, case law and industry claim trends, along with any required training sessions and courses for continuing development.
Respond to requests from clients for help in understanding claims.
Handle requests from claims adjusters for assistance in gathering additional data or documentation around a specific claim.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree preferred, but relevant years of experience will be considered 2-4 years of technical claims experience with a carrier or TPA.
Basic understanding of Technical Claims procedures and Best Practices.
Ability to meet client and team needs in a timely and professional manner with strong communication skills Ability to use carrier and TPA information to utilize claims management systems and provide consulting services to clients.
Ability to set priorities and work with a minimum of supervision, seeking guidance where needed Ability to use discretion and understand confidentiality issues.
Proficient in MS Office suite, particularly Word and Excel with the ability to learn new system technologies.
Physical Requirements Necessary on a Regular Basis:
Manual dexterity, arm and upper body range of motion sufficient for use of a keyboard, mouse and telephone 7-8 hours per day.
Speech and hearing sufficient for in-person and telephone communication 7-8 hours per day.
Vision sufficient for use of a computer monitor.
Ability to sit at a desk 7-8 hours per day.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
