As a direct report to the Records Retention Lead within Data Protection, you will be a part of the team responsible for Records Retention.
As a Records Retention Senior Analyst, you will be responsible for supporting the Records Retention Lead along with a team of cross-functional cyber, privacy, engineering, and data protection analysts to define, implement, manage, and measure controls relating to records retention in accordance with relevant geographical regulation, contractual commitments, and confidentiality requirements.
Responsibilities- Supports the development and implementation of the records retention program to support compliance with standards, guidelines, regulatory agency requirements, and state and federal laws across the globe.
- Participates in the development and maintenance of records retention controls and policies as necessitated by business needs and regulations.
- Participates in communication as a records retention liaison with legal, privacy, security, engineering teams, human resources and other business units' management teams.
- Support the assessment and analysis of business units' adherence to records retention policies and processes and collaborate with stakeholders to identify any compliance gaps and develop a path forward to compliance.
- Prepares drafts and revisions of technical and functional requirements for in-house or external technologies to support records retention needs.
- Collaborates with engineering teams to ensure alignment of technologies with records retention objectives.
- Develop and maintain records inventories.
- Monitors and analyzes key performance indicators for the records retention program.
- Participates in the development of change management and communication initiatives related to records retention, including policy changes and development / delivery of training materials.
- Maintains an understanding of relevant records retention industry standards, best practices and technology.
Qualifications- Bachelors' Degree or industry equivalent work experience- 4
years applicable experience- Experience in the field of Records or Information Management.
- Advanced knowledge of the various records management standards and industry leading practices and technologies.
- Experience managing the retention and disposition of structured and unstructured data.
- Demonstrate ability to quickly assimilate to new knowledge and remain current on new developments in cybersecurity capabilities and industry knowledge.
- Effective research, analytical and problem solving skills.
- Experience collaborating with a team to meet strategic and tactical objectives as well as serve as an individual contributor.
- Effective skill in transitioning between detailed technical vs.
business-oriented executive discussions to understand and convey complex technical issues.
- Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to work and collaborate with all levels of management, staff and vendors.
- Coding experience using Python and SQL knowledge is a plus.
