6K a year 7 days ago 7 days ago 7 days ago Food Safety Quality Assurance Technician Food Safety Quality Assurance Technician will ensure compliance of food safety systems along with quality programs, policies, procedures and processes that are designed and necessary to ensure safe food products.
Specific Accountabilities:
Inspect the day-to-day quality and food safety activities.
Perform pre-sanitation inspection at end of production shift.
Effectively communicate quality control expectations to production personnel.
Raw material inspection for specification compliance.
Conduct metal detector challenges and observations through the course of the shift.
Verify the calibration of all metal detectors, scales and thermometers.
Conduct sensory evaluations of raw materials and finished product and record results.
Collect production samples for independent evaluation to ensure specification compliance for finished products Ensure compliance with established policies and procedures such as HACCP, GMPs, SSOP, process deviation, hold and release.
Assist with solving problems by analyzing data, investigating issues, identifying solutions and recommending actions.
Perform basic lab analysis (fat, moistures) on in-process and finished products.
Enforce food safety and quality policies and procedures.
Perform additional duties as directed.
Any issues related to FSQM are reported to quality management team.
Qualifications:
Knowledge of quality experience in QC or QA.
Knowledge of food industry quality standards; USDA a plus.
Effective communication, strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with a diversified work force Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
High School diploma required; college degree is a plus.
To support the Manager in the maintenance of quality standards and procedures for the purpose of generating and maintaining the safest, highest quality, lowest cost products for our customers.

Responsibilities:
-Ensure planned KPIs efficiency and performance are met or exceeded daily -Ensure and implement safety procedures -Monitor product standards and follow Quality guidelines -Implement and drive continuous improvement activities through best practices -Working with Supervisors and Managers to implement company policy and goals are being obtained and followed.
