Job Description Works as an empowered employee within established guidelines, procedures, and protocols to provide administrative and dispatching support for the care, welfare, safety, services, and security of hospital personnel, visitors, patients, and property.
Proactively supports efforts that ensure delivery of safe patient care and services and promote a safe environment at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta.
Experience 1 year of experience in security, law enforcement, military, or public relations Preferred Qualifications Some college Education High school diploma or equivalent Certification Summary No professional certifications required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Ability to speak, read, write, and follow written and oral instructions Ability to function independently of constant supervision Ability to apply sound judgment and confidentiality in handling of sensitive information Attention to detail Must be organized Calm under stress Able to problem-solve and handle multiple priorities Accurate listening Receive and record information Thorough knowledge of the use of a personal computer Job Responsibilities Posts at security office for extended periods to handle security dispatching, receive and prioritize calls for assistance, and maintain daily activity report appropriately.
Dispatches officers to designated areas for posting and other assigned duties and records information.
Performs control center duties such as monitors alarms, e.
g.
, fire, boiler, panic, code blue, makes code announcements, registers vehicles, assists customers as needed, and performs other service/emergency functions.
Maintains records and ensures completion of daily tasks, e.
g.
, parking counts, postings, runs, occurrence reports, vehicle registrations, parking citations.
Makes clear and concise overhead announcements.
Assists Administrative Assistant by quantifying daily activity report results.
Makes note of maintenance deficiencies and completes appropriate work orders.
Monitors hospital CCTV system when instructed and reports any unusual events to Security Supervisor.
Remains up-to-date on current security and professional issues through reading and self-study.
Ensures control center cleanliness and organization.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
