The Director of Advertising leads holistic marketing campaigns across consumer-facing touch points, including traditional TV, online video, digital, social, PR, out of home, and merchandising.
This individual will bring big ideas to life through guest insights, ensuring that communication drive awareness, recall, and brand preference.
S/he will lead the development of an enduring campaign that incorporates Zaxbys new brand positioning and visual identity, leveraging consistent iconic assets across promotions.
In addition, this position will build in-house creative studio capabilities to enable local store marketing.
S/he will lead a team of 5 direct reports and be responsible for creative agency partnership.

Work closely with Agency partners to create compelling and memorable advertising content for national promotions & local tests:
strategic brief, holistic creative development, and production.
Primary day-to-day contact for creative agency of record (brand, social and merchandising).
Ensure that all brand communication (National and Local) adheres to brand and visual identity guidelines.
Drive standardization for local/store marketing materials with customizable assets.
Develop restaurant and digital merchandising for core products and LTOs:
menu boards, point of purchase, loyalty & app presentation, food imagery, product descriptions, etc.
Responsible for executing digital content calendar on owned and 1:
1 channels (email and SMS text), working in conjunction with Zaxbys Digital Team.
Lead social strategic framework and agency development of all earned and paid social engagement content for Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Google, YouTube, Tik Tok, Pinterest, etc.
Oversee social media processes and partners:
community management, guest recovery, surprise and delight, influencer marketing, reporting, trend spotting, social listening, and PR issue management.
PR activations that deliver ideas bigger than budgets attention-grabbing programs that are amplified with social media to generate buzz and cultural relevance.
Partner with the Menu & Culinary Teams to develop positioning statements for consumer concepts with a lens toward future advertising development.
Own corporate merchandise/swag program, including product creation/selection, budget & inventory management, and vendor relationships.
Manage timelines and budgets for all programs, delivering on-time and with excellence.
Proactively seek efficiency opportunities to reduce non-working investment.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE GUIDELINES Education:
Bachelors degree in Communications, Public Relations, or related field preferred
Experience:
7
