Canton, GA Essential Duties and Responsibilities Exercise and promote safety Prioritize work assignments Understand responsibilities of team roles Train employees Track attendance Complete quarterly performance evaluations Control overtime Review timecards weekly Balance workload for employees Communicate goals to employees Discipline employees as needed Conduct daily Toolbox Talks Complete Personnel Change Form for employees who transfer, are promoted, etc.
Complete termination paperwork as needed Other duties as assigned Qualifications Minimum Education:
HS Diploma or GED Minimum
Experience:
6 months' minimum experience Certifications Required:
Crane certification; Forklift certification; Lock-out/Tag-out certification; Pallet jack certification (certifications completed during new hire orientation) Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Leadership Skills:
Promote safety as a core value; understand leadership role for Safety culture and that others will model their sentiment, attitudes and actions; understand the need to demonstrate a hyper level of safety conscientiousness and obsessiveness Decision-making Skills:
Think in terms of what is best for the business and customer when making decisions that may affect areas outside of immediate influence Computer Skills:
Possess understanding of Microsoft Excel and pivot tables and know how to use them to generate reports Communication Skills:
Able to effectively listen and communicate ideas and thoughts to others; able to write reports, business correspondence and procedural manuals; able to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers and departmental personnel Mathematical Skills:
Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, fractions and decimals; able to calculate fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical solutions Reasoning Skills:
Able solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists; able to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form Physical Abilities:
